My Family's Role in the World Revolution, 1971
A witty, humorous novel about a family from Belgrade - first during the German occupation in the WWII, and then just after the liberation. Family consists of a drunken father, alarmist mother, bimbo aunts in love with American movie stars, a playboy uncle and a little boy from whose perspective the story is told. The whole family is strugling to find their roles in the new society, which only leads to a number of funny yet bitter misunderstandings.
