Towards Belgrade

The distance between Vršac and Belgrade is about 80km, and you can make it in 1.5 hrs. The road is surprisingly good. You will pass Pančevo and Banatsko Novo Selo on the way to Belgrade. There is one main road that connects all the villages between Vršac and Belgrade so you should hichhike on that road.

Towards Romania

There is one long street called Miloša Obilića, that goes from the city center all the way to Romanian border. There is a taxi station and Romanian consulate at the beginning of the street, both across the street from the open market. The halfway point is Vršačko jezero (Vrshachko lake), where the industrial zone starts. The border is only 10km away.
