Towards Bosnia (Bogatić, Pavlovića most - Pavlovića bridge, Loznica)

You have two options. First, you can walk past the bus station and hichhike on the roundabout. Second, pass the city center and go to Nova robna kuća (New shopping mall), which is the most common option.

During weekends and nights, Nova robna kuća is the best starting point, because the road is getting wider here. During weekdays it's a little bit too crowded, so go 500m further to the next crossroads. Despite the "no stopping" sign, hichhiking here works good. Accept any ride, because there is a really good crossroads with speed bumps some 2-3 kilometers away, in the center of Majur village. Three kilometers further, at the exit from Majur, there is famous Sokina kafana, H-crossroads where roads Šabac-Majur-Bogatić and Šabac-roundabout-Loznica join. Hichhiking here is traditionally great.

You can catch the suburban transport from Nova robna kuća to Majur or Sokina kafana.

In all villages from Šabac to Drina river, hichhiking from the center is the best option.

Towards Srem, Belgrade, Novi Sad

You should hichhike before the bridge that crosses Sava river, just before the overpass. Good places for hichhiking are Platičevo and Hrtkovci, and bad ones are Klenak and Jarak.

Towards Obrenovac, Valjevo

There is a big crossroads between the bus station and the bridge, with hanging traffic lights. You can reach it from the city center by Pop Lukina Street. Ask for the road to Zorka factory (Zorka fabrika) - road is wide and it is the good hichhiking place.
