Towards Vrška Čuka and Bulgaria
In the very center of the town you'll see a big crossroads, with a road sign saying "Niš". Take that road and walk straight ahead for about 10 minutes. When you see an overpass, just walk under it following the street parallel to the railroad. On the other side of the railroad you'll see the Zajecar Health Center, but just keep straight to the Visnjar suburb, and hitchhike from there. You may get a lift from a tractor because many people have their fields just next to the border. Otherwise you can always walk - Bulgarian border is another 10 kilometers from there. Towards Knjaževac-Niš
Same crossroads, same sign, same overpass, but just before you reach the overpass (walking on the right side of the street), cross the railroad and walk to the main entrance of the Health Center. Turn left in front of the main stairway, head straight, walk up the stairs and you'll be on the right place. Walk for another 100 meters and hitchhike from there. But be careful, police can often be seen there, and you're standing in a very conspicuous spot. If someone picks you up, before Knjazevac you'll pass through Grkljan, Vratnica, Minicevo. The road has frequent traffic during the day, but stay away from the village roads since they are rather deserted.
