The Djerdap gorge, with the monumental Golubac fortress built on the place where the Danube reaches an incredible eight kilometers in width, offers some of the most beautiful sceneries in Serbia. Eastern Serbia is the speleologists' heaven, with a number of caves (Zlotska, Ceremoshnya, Raykova cave) some of which have never been entirely explored. The areas of Homolye, Klyuch and Negotinska Kraina are inhabited by a large number of the members of the Vlah people, that have preserved their specific culture and traditional way of life up to this day.
