Ecka Castle is, actually, huge redish one-story house built in 1820 by landowner Lazar Agoston to serve him as a castle. It is surrounded by wide park and there is an old water tower similar to little fortress nearby. There are a few old monuments in the park, long crumbling building once used as a stable, interesting if you want to ramble a little through deserted corridors, basements or climb delapidated stairs.

Inside the castle there is a hotel where you can have B and B for 800 CSD, half-board for 1,100 CSD or full-board accommodation for 1,400 CSD. Breakfast only costs 100 CSD and lunch/ dinner 350 CSD each. Complex includes a restaurant too, where you can buy, for example, portion of cevapcici for 250 CSD.

The Catholic Church, fondation of Lazar Lukac and built in 1864, is just beside the castle. Paintings on the walls representing torments of Christ were made by Jozef Geugner. There are also three icons: The Baptism of Christ, St Elizabeth and Judith, made by Dutch painter van der Venne.

In Ecka village you can see the oldest church in this region- St Nikola’s Orthodox Church, built in 1711 of mud and straw with shingle roof and wooden tower. Iconostasis from 1886 is an artwork of the unknown artist.

Also, the Romanian Orthodox Church, from 1850 exists in the village. It’s yellow Neoclassical building.
